D.I.Y. Tips & Tricks - Viruses & Spyware

Viruses and Spyware have become the bane of PC users everywhere. Unless unplugged and sitting on a shelf, every PC is vulnerable to viruses and spyware. Up until recently PC users could simply install a reliable anti-virus (AV) program and not think much about it. Things have changed in that regard and every PC user must become familiar with basic internet security measures to protect their investment.

As a computer tech a large majority of my business comes from cleaning up and protecting against viruses and spyware; however it pains me to see customers repeatedly spend money on fixing problems, rather than making simple changes in how they use their computers and thereby preventing problems. This D.I.Y. section is here to give you tips and tricks to protect your PC and hopefully improve your computing experience.
